Lady Gaga VMAs 2010

Lady Gaga well and truly rocked the 2010 VMAs and ruffled a few feathers winning eight of her nominated thirteen awards. She stole the show upon arrival wearing one of the late Alexander McQueen’s final pieces from his last collection complete with his signature lobster claw shoes which we all know from her ‘Bad Romance’ video. Her hair was a fantastic ‘ice queen’ look with long white tresses with ice blue tips topped off with a golden feathery head piece. She truly looked fantastic.
She later changed into a black spiky Armani dress to accept her second award of the evening. And finally she wore her ‘meat dress’ designed by Franc Fernandez for anyone who has already seen the Japanese Vogue cover.
Upon accepting her award for best female video for ‘Bad romance’ she spoke the immortal lines of the evening ‘I never thought I’d be asking Cher to hold my meat purse’. She then went on to tearfully thank her family, friends and of course fans and even told us of the title of her new record; ‘Born This Way’ and even sung in acapella a few lines from it, all in perfect key of course.

It was obvious to us all that Gaga would rule the VMA awards and she deserves it but we are always impressed when she out does herself which she has truly done, once again!

Something Corporate Summer Tour

OMG! Something Corporate are reforming?! But only for a summer tour. After Lead singer Andrew Mcmahon developed cancer he decided to take a break from music while he battled his sickness. The rest of Something Corporate went on to from the band Firescape and after Andrew had won his fight with the disease he took a new musical turn and formed the band Jack's Mannequin (My favourite band!!) But now for a summer tour he has rejoined his fellow Something Corporate bandmates, they have also released a new album, a best of album entitled Played In Space which is a two disc album that features all of their best songs and there are also a few re-recordings on there aswell!! So go check it out on itunes!!! Sadly as they are mostly based in the USA there are no current UK tour dates :( but at least their is the best of album as some sort of comfort. If I find out that they may be coming to the UK I will be the first to let you all know!!
