So I heard the EP's and fell in love with her straight away. Marina is such a new and fresh artist. She has such a quirky and original persona and this is also reflected in her voice, it's great. I love the little noises she makes in her songs and the things she can do with her voice are amazing. She is diffrent, confident, quirky and guess what ... talented. Unlike most artists nowerdays she can acctually sing! She is good live aswell. She isn't one of them artists that the lable has to dress them in bikins in the videos just so they will sell records!
Her debut album, The Family Jewles is one of my favourite albums in my collection. And my absolute favourite tracks are Hollywood and Are You Satisfied? Hollywood is so upbeat and happy and the video is just fantastic and Are You Satisfied? is so far my summer soundtrack song. I think it tells the story of how most people will do anything for fame. Other tracks i'm loving are I Am Not A Robot, Seventeen, Oh No!, Hermit The Frog and Obsessions.
