This is an amazing kick ass song by the incredibly talented Miss Kate Voegele. It is one of them songs you can listen to when you are angry and it channels your negative emotions into something useful. The message behind it is that someone who has pissed you about loads before and lied to you isn't worth your time anymore and that you will move on to bigger and better things and then when you are gone they'll regret the way they have treated you but it'll be too late. I love songs that are like this I call them 'strong songs' because they empower you when you listen to them. Check out all of her songs, all of which are ace! So this girl has been one of my favourites ever since I discovered her on the amazing TV show, One Tree Hill (that show has provided me with some of my favourite music) In the show she plays shy Mia who is the keyboard player in a band headed by none other than Kevin Federline. The band gets dropped but Mia being obviously most talented one is kept on as a solo artist. Many artists weretried for the role but she apparently got her spot on the show due to her passion about music and how she makes it to make people feel better rather than for the money.
Kate’s voice is seriously amazing and not only that but she plays the guitar and keyboard and writes her own stuff!! How rare is that for an artist today. She is currently, according to her twitter, working on songs for her third album.
She has such a powerful voice and it’s full of passion and her songs are so meaningful. Sometimes she sings about heartbreak; You Can’t Break A Broken Heart, sometimes she sings songs which give people hope and the ability to overcome problems in their lives; 99 Times and No Good. Her cover of the song Hallelujah is also great and was the first song I heard by her. I thought this woman has quite probably the best voice I’ve ever heard and it really grabbed my attention and I thought what other songs does this girl have so I went on a mad iTunes binge.
Her first album; Don’t look away was faultless and I loved every track but my favourite songs from that album are; No Good, Devil In Me, I Won’t Disagree, It’s Only Life, Kindly Unspoken, Wish You Were and my total fave; Only Fooling Myself.
Her follow up album (Which I felt like I was waiting years for!) was entitled A Fine Mess and I was shocked to find out she had done even better on this one. It was still a similar feel to her first album but her voice was better (somehow?!) and the songs were ace! And not only that but boy does she look HOT on the album art! My fave songs from this album are; Inside Out, Angel, 99 Times, Lift Me Up, Sweet Silver Lining, Manhattan From The Sky and Who You Are Without Me.
So if you guys want a woman with an amazing voice, that writes and sings (and plays) meaningful heartfeltsongs and who also happens to be very hot! Then Kate is the girl for you!
