It’s extremely overdue but here it is, Pete Burns (of the 80’s band ‘Dead Or Alive’) first single ‘Never Marry An Icon’. This song is so unusual but fantastic with it. It’s a fresh and fierce techno piece which looks set to be a massive hit and will hopefully lead to him releasing his solo album. Pete’s distinctive voice suits the song 100% and the vocoder effects are really a great finishing touch. I have always loved Pete and his attitude and for me his whole persona is summed up in one of the lines in this song; ‘Who do you think you are taking on a superstar?’ He’s so different and so is his music. I recommend this song to anyone who is a Pete/Dead Or Alive fan or to anyone who still appreciates real and stand out music. Pete really is one of a kind I really hope this track gets as much attention as it deserves. Also I hope he releases some more material but for now this is an excellent track.
